GSE Outwards Committee

Specific tasks for this subcommittee include:

• Undertaking a selection process to advise the Governor on the appointment of a Team Leader and team members.
• Promoting the opportunity for the tour through clubs and through organisations specific to the particular vocations sought for the team.
• Arranging preliminary interviews and the final team selection process
• Briefing of the team on the district’s expectations with respect to the tour generally, the related humanitarian projects and on the obligations when the team returns
• Assisting with the arrangements for team uniforms and promotional material for team presentations
• Liaison with the Liaison with the District 1230 GSE Chair, particularly with respect to vocational arrangements for the team members.
• Ensuring that travel arrangements are properly completed and the arrangement of district welcome and farewell functions.
• The arrangement of accommodation for the out-going team while they are attending the District Conference and liaising with the District Conference Committee on attendance at, and presentations to, the conference
