Matching grants must assist clubs/districts to carry out humanitarian international service projects with Rotarians in another country. Grants applications are processed by the District Rotary Foundation Committee and submitted to the Rotary Foundation.
Objectives of Matching Grants include helping improve the quality of life of the less fortunate and fostering international friendship and understanding. The grant must involve significant active personal Rotarian participation of both the local club and international sponsor. Named contacts must be willing and able to stay in close communication with their international partners. Club members of both local co-sponsor club/district in the project country and international sponsor must commit to actively assist with the project’s implementation. A Matching grant should be a project of one Club/District with minimal involvement of the other partner. The Rotary Foundation provides a 1:2 match of club or district funds. The maximum provision by the Foundation is US$25,000. Rotary Foundation Grant Approvals
